Current Events
Everyone knows that the continent of Africa if the birthplace of mankind. It was where primates were born and also where we evolved from them. Then some of us moved on to Europe, where we soon started civilization. Scientists believe that we eventually managed to migrate into Arabia through the Red Sea . However, based on recent evidence, there is now a belief that humans migrated to Europe and Asia much earlier than that. Based on new information regarding ancient artifacts and a possible climate change, scientists are now thinking that the trip across the Red Sea occurred at least 125,000 years ago. This is 75,000 years after Homo sapiens were thought to have evolved and tens of thousands of years earlier than when human beings were believed to have undertaken this journey. The evidence of this is still lacking, but the possibility still exists. The Middle Eastern Stone Age tools believed to have brought up this idea were excavated in Jebel Faya, Africa. As for the climate change, scientists think that climatic shifts might've helped humans cross their way into the Arabian Peninsula much earlier than we think. Simply put, this possibility has put the scientific world on fire. For more information on this news, visit http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=middle-eastern-stone-age-tools.
