On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, my science class did a lab in which we dissected frogs to learn about the organs and organ systems inside a frog's anatomy. This activity was split into two days. The first day, we were going to cut open the frog. The second day, we were going to learn about the organs and organ systems inside the frog's anatomy. So on to the first day. First, me and my classmates were divided into groups. Then, we put on our gloves and goggles and received our frogs. Using the tools in our dissection kits, me and classmates cut opened our frog's belly. We had to cut through two layers of skin in order to accomplish this. However, once we did it, I was fascinated. The frog's anatomy was quite different from a human body's. Next, we had to remove out all the eggs inside the frog since ours was a female. This job raised grossed out two of my group mates, so my remaining comrade and I had to perform this task. It was very boring and we were relieved when it was finally done. After that, we were done for the day.

Now we come to the second day. In this day, we had look at and learn about each organ inside the frog. In order to help with this, my teacher gave all groups permission to cut out all organs from our the frogs. Me and my group decided to cut everything inside our frog. We all felt bad about doing this. Nonetheless, this frog had died for us to learn, so we might as well make the most of it. So proceeded to remove every single organ in the body and look at them carefully. Eventually we finished cutting out and inspecting every single part of the frog. Also, during the class, My teacher my class of a frog practical on Friday. Lucky for me and my group, our analysis of our frog already had us well prepared for that. Eventually, it was time for all the groups to wrap up and leave. I have to say, I have never done anything more fascinating in the realm of science than dissecting a frog.
